• Lead pricing negotiations and contract management efforts

• Develop transportation capacity strategies and contingency plans to support varying sales levels and supply/demand patterns

• Establish and utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive competitive costs and service

• Analyze and assess industry and market dynamics to assess transportation cost and service trends

• Build relationships and trust with cross-functional partners

• Ensure adherence to governmental policies

• Advise senior leadership on all aspects of transportation and logistics

**Requirements:**

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent

• Proven experience managing large logistics organizations with similar complexity

• Extensive experience with Transportation Management Systems

• Deep knowledge of contracts, services, and pricing for global, national, and regional carriers

• Strong negotiations and analytical skills to ensure lowest overall transportation cost consistent with high service requirements

• Track record of successful project deployments with quantifiable results

• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner

• Demonstrated ability to utilize data and metrics to drive decision making and optimization

• Focused, organized, and results-driven individual with ability to drive diverse cross-functional partners towards defined goal

• Previous experience supporting freight claims negotiation and resolution
