Job Opportunity: Operations Intern

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented student looking to gain hands-on experience in the transportation industry? CRST Specialized Transportation, Inc. is seeking a talented Operations Intern to join our Specialized Solutions team.

About the Role

As an Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team members to develop and execute basic transportation management practices. You will assist in creating efficient and effective utilization of company assets and equipment, and work with various departments to develop effective communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating efficient and effective utilization of company assets and equipment
  • Learn and execute basic transportation management practices
  • Work with numerous different departments and develop effective communication skills
  • Exposure to Senior Leaders across the business with the opportunity to connect and grow your network
  • Hands-on projects related to your major
  • Personal and professional development opportunities
  • Connection to the community in which you are working
  • Present a capstone to Senior Business Leaders at the conclusion of the 8-week period
Requirements
  • Pursuing a business-related 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Sophomore - Junior-level college student pursuing a degree within Business, Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Finance or a similar field
  • Minimum 2.5 or above GPA
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and loyalty
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Has strong aspirations for future success in business or management
  • Self-starter with high personal motivation and desire to take initiative and ownership
  • Prior coursework, internship, or work experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Basic oral and written communication skills
  • Maximizes relationships, fosters collaboration, and builds trust
