Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift with Rotating Weekends
Compensation: $2000 Sign-on Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package
Shift Differentials:
- Evening Shift: $2.00 per hour (5pm – 11pm)
- Night Shift: $3.00 per hour (11pm – 6am)
- Weekend Shift: $1.50 per hour (Friday 2pm through Sunday 11:59pm)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and medical oversight to residents within the Legacy Campus Assisted Living Communities, including the AL Cottages, Vista, and the Independent Living Community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nursing Duties- Conduct initial assessments for residents transitioning into the facility and perform follow-up assessments as mandated by regulatory standards.
- Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) monthly to ensure alignment with physician orders.
- Manage routine pharmacy pickups and deliveries.
- Administer PRN medications and injections as prescribed.
- Document changes in resident conditions, behaviors, and medication follow-ups.
- Prepare documentation for physician visits and assist during those visits.
- Generate lab requisitions and communicate results to physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and weights as recorded by Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s).
- Oversee the care of residents in designated areas.
- Administer nursing treatments and collaborate with physicians to determine optimal care strategies.
- Lead emergency response efforts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records for residents.
- Adhere to record-keeping policies in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support staff as needed, potentially working in a C.N.A. capacity.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives related to nursing assessments and resident care.
- Promote resident well-being and satisfaction through elder-centered care as part of the Clinical Support Team.
- Assist C.N.A.s and nursing staff in providing resident care.
- Support residents with mobility, including lifting, turning, and transporting.
- Facilitate walking assistance for residents as required.
- Provide compassionate care for residents nearing end-of-life, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Conduct rounds to offer assistance across nursing areas as needed.
- Supervise staff within assigned areas.
- Coach and evaluate team members, addressing performance issues as necessary.
- Build supportive relationships with residents across various care levels.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and scheduling.
- Participate in community engagement activities to foster relationships with residents and staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with organizational policies.
- Assist during mealtimes, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests.
- Perform necessary tasks to facilitate a pleasant dining experience.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any hazards.
- Attend mandatory safety training sessions.
- Utilize proper body mechanics when assisting residents.
- Follow established safety procedures when handling biohazard materials.
- Use appropriate safety equipment as required.
- Engage with the Eden Alternative philosophy, promoting a nurturing environment.
- Uphold customer service standards, including personal interaction and responsiveness.
- Comply with TB testing and influenza vaccination policies.
- Participate in mandatory training and educational sessions to maintain licensure.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid nursing license (LPN or RN) in the State of Montana. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge gained through completion of a nursing program.
- Ability to observe and assess changes in resident conditions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Physical capability to lift and maneuver residents safely.

- Valid MT Driver's License required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally, along with prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
