Nurse Care Specialist

As a Nurse Care Specialist at St. John's United, you will provide direct care and medical treatment to Elders, including medication administration and assistance with activities of daily living. You will work under general supervision to provide effective, timely, and quality health care assistance and related support for assisted living residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and record prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders
- Answer Elders' calls promptly and measure and record their vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
- Provide basic care and treatments ordered by the physician
- Observe Elders, charting and reporting changes in Elder conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and take necessary action
- Assist Elders with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting them into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, etc.
- Assist Elders to walk with or without self-help devices as needed
- Assist with the care of the dying Elder, maintaining hope, dignity, and love for the Elder at all times
- Supervise Elder Sharath's on assigned unit
- Provide feedback to Elder Sharath's through performance evaluations and counseling reports
- Participate in and receive the nursing report on assigned shifts
- Maintain the confidentiality of all Elder care information according to the St. John's Policy on Confidentiality and Resident Rights
- Report suspected abuse of an Elder or inappropriate behavior toward an Elder to the supervisor immediately
Requirements:
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Montana. Previous work experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
