Job Summary:
  • This role is essential for maintaining a vibrant and positive atmosphere, consistently demonstrating behaviors that prioritize client-centric service. The Assistant Salon Director is instrumental in driving store performance, promoting exceptional client service, and ensuring operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity targets. This individual will oversee and guide Tanning Consultants to achieve company objectives and will exemplify best practices in all company operations. The Assistant Salon Director instills a sense of urgency to meet goals and holds the team accountable for delivering an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Oversee and manage daily salon operations in a dynamic environment.
  • Lead by example in all company operations, creating a client-focused experience and achieving personal sales targets.
  • Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon atmosphere.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
  • Provide coaching, training, and constructive feedback to enhance Team Members' daily performance.
  • Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with other Salon Director responsibilities.
  • Support the Salon Director in managing revenue and expenses effectively.
  • Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs.
  • Availability to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed for management coverage.
  • Reliable transportation for banking duties as required.
  • Expected to work five days per week, with a schedule of approximately 40 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred college education, but not mandatory.
  • Required management and/or sales experience.
  • Basic computer skills (proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to coach and mentor, along with knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
  • Ability to lift or assist in lifting heavy items and boxes.
  • Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
