As a Relief Registered Nurse at The May Institute Inc, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that every client receives personalized care, tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Your Role in Action
  • Collaborative Caregiver: Work closely with our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Assessment Expert: Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' medical histories, developmental needs, and treatment goals, guiding our path towards effective care planning.
  • Medication Management Specialist: Safely administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and care, ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients.
  • Family Support Champion: Empower clients' families with the knowledge and skills they need to become active participants in their child's care, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Documentation Specialist: Maintain accurate and detailed records of clients' progress and treatment interventions, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in pediatric nursing, with a preference for experience working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to thrive within an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, committed to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
