Job Overview

Code is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to computer science in K-12 schools and increasing participation by young women and students from underrepresented groups. Our vision is to provide every student with the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their K-12 education.

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Community Manager to oversee and execute all social media efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy, managing content, planning campaigns, monitoring performance, and engaging with the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with overall marketing goals and the organization's mission.
  • Manage cross-channel content calendars, featuring original and curated content tailored to each audience and platform.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and other content creators to produce engaging multimedia content.
  • Grow Code's online community by initiating conversations, responding to comments, escalating issues, and creating a positive environment for users.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations, influencers, and community groups to expand reach and engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, audience shifts, and other ongoing developments to inform strategies.
  • Develop social media playbooks, guidelines, policies, and best practices, and conduct regular training sessions for the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading large online communities.
  • Proven track record managing cross-channel content calendars.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing social media advertising strategies and influencer partnerships.
  • Experience promoting and covering live in-person/virtual events.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $91,000 - $102,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including technology subsidy, flexible working environment, paid time off, medical and dental premiums paid at 100%, and more.
