Job Summary

The City of Neenah, WI is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Recruitment and Retention Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in assisting with the recruitment and retention of employees across the city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general administrative duties, including written correspondence, filing, and operating office equipment.
  • Recruit personnel for all City departments, utilizing online application systems and conducting phone screens and interviews.
  • Update and create job descriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with departmental and city policies.
  • Research and gather data related to wages, job descriptions, and recruitment information.
  • Respond to open records requests, such as wage and benefit surveys, and employment verifications.
  • Act as a liaison for the City Culture Initiative, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Assist with employee training and development, including succession planning, performance improvement, and policy reviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources and Safety Assistant during periods of absence and annual open enrollment.
  • Assist with data entry into payroll systems for newly hired employees.
  • Contribute to the annual employee recognition program, celebrating the achievements of our team members.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of recruitment or Human Resources experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of modern office equipment, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard HRIS platforms.
  • Knowledge of City and Department policies and procedures.
  • Basic accounting and mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment practices.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically performed in an office setting, with up to 20% remote work available as office coverage allows. Minimal exposure to loud noises or equipment, with moderate travel between office locations.
