About the Role

Baldwin Risk Partners is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for selling new accounts and renewing existing ones, while building and maintaining relationships with clients, prospects, and insurance company partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Presents Proposals and Reviews Coverages: Present proposals in a professional manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding.
  • Communicates Effectively: Communicate with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and service team in an articulate and effective manner.
  • Finalizes Sales and Collects Documents: Finalize the sale and collect necessary documents, applications, etc., and brief the service team on the policy sale.
  • Develops Prospects and Relationships: Develop prospects by becoming involved in community affiliations, attending insurance company partner hosted seminars, building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts, engaging in networking events, and through referrals from current accounts.
  • Develops Information and Recommendations: Develop information and recommendations for prospective accounts, presents proposals, and adheres to firm policies and procedures for writing a new account.
  • Maintains Accuracy and Timeliness: Maintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the Firm, and Insurance Company Partners, to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Stays Up-to-Date with Industry Knowledge: Maintain understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry and underwriting criteria for insurance company partners represented by the firm to effectively communicate to all involved.
  • Represents the Firm Positively: Positively represents the firm in the community and with our insurance company partners.
  • Performs Other Functions: Performs other functions as assigned by leadership.
  • Improves the Firm and Processes: Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
  • Meets Monthly Goals: Is expected to meet monthly new business goals.
Requirements
  • Certification(s): None required; None preferred
