Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to student athletes, including prevention, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries.
  • Develop and maintain a budget for the school athletic training program.
  • Act as a liaison between family physicians, specialists, the school district, athletes, and their parents.
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and sports injuries treated by a physician.
  • Assist in musculoskeletal screening for annual pre-participation sports physicals.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and sanitary athletic training room/facility.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited athletic training program.
  • 2 years to < 3 years of work experience.
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Certification.
  • Licensure by the Florida Department of Health or eligibility to be licensed in the State of Florida.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
