Job Summary

Parrish Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical skills during Interventional Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, or Interventional Radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the achievement of strategic goals and objectives for the continued growth and success of assigned functional area(s).
  • Provide excellent patient, family, visitor, and internal customer experiences as measured by CMS, HCAHPS, and other national best-practice service benchmarks.
  • Achieve national best/leading practice standards for continuous quality improvement and patient safety as measured by CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies pertinent to areas of responsibility.
  • Adhere to all Parrish Medical Center policies and procedures as well as regulations and codes established by federal, state, and local government affecting professional practice and industry regulations.
  • Follow CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately use PPE, and perform hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care.
  • Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physician as needed.
  • Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, non-ablation electrophysiology interventional procedures, and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Take call as rotated/assigned and respond (in hospital) per policy.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required with vocational or other technical school, certification, or training required beyond high school in one or more of the following areas: Cardiovascular, Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Respiratory Therapy, Radiological Technology, EMS.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in Interventional Cardiology preferred.
  • Must possess upon hire and maintain one of the following: Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)], Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Cardiovascular Therapist (CVT), Paramedic or EMT Licensure.
  • Current BLS through the American Heart Association required.
  • Current ACLS through the American Heart Association or obtain within 3 months of hire.
