Job Summary

Parrish Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operating room support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining a clean and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and assemble surgical instruments and equipment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in the sterilization process, including the use of biological indicators and testing of equipment.
  • Pull supplies and instrument trays for surgical cases, demonstrating knowledge of supplies and their locations.
  • Participate in ongoing in-service training to ensure proficiency in new equipment and techniques.
  • Adhere to fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations as pertains to the work area.
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical school certification, training, or apprenticeship required beyond high school. Central Service Technician certification strongly preferred.
  • 1 year to < 2 years of work experience in a related field.
