Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic radiologic examinations, including computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other advanced imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform diagnostic radiologic examinations, including CT scans, MRI, and other advanced imaging modalities.
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including CT scanners and MRI machines.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, including preparing patients for exams and ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiologic technology program.
  • Current certification in radiologic technology (RT) or computed tomography (CT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • At least one year of experience in a diagnostic radiologic technology setting, preferably in a hospital or imaging department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced imaging department, with frequent exposure to radiation and other hazards. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
