Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Technician to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Nursing Station Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support on our fast-paced orthopedic unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, vital signs, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
  • Maintain unit desk area functions, including answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts, and ordering tests
  • Set up and maintain patient rooms, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment
  • Order and stock supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required
  • One or more of the following:
    • Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program
    • Six months of recent direct care experience in a long-term, home care, or acute care setting
    • Current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, with completion of one semester of clinical rotation within the program
    • Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire
