About the Role

The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University is seeking a skilled Veterinary Nurse I, II, or III to join our dedicated Small Animal Surgery team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing quality veterinary patient care and assisting with procedures for client, teaching, and research animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing quality veterinary patient care and help with procedures for client, teaching, and research animals
  • Support busy surgery schedules and assist with educational opportunities
  • Contribute to meaningful research and advance your skillset through continuing education and various learning experiences
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year college program in veterinary and animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association
  • Relevant experience as a veterinary technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) after passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary medical concepts, animal behavior, and animal husbandry
  • Skilled in interpersonal and written communication, basic computer skills, and time management
