Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Engineering:
  • Interpret and update electrical wiring diagrams using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
  • Develop electrical schematics and designs in AutoCAD.
  • Analyze mechanical design drawings to determine electrical requirements.
  • Research and evaluate supplier products for assembly components.
  • Adhere to established standards for drawings and component selections.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining new standards.
  • Develop and interpret electrical bills of materials.
  • Utilize hand tools and multi-meters for safe work in electrical panels.
  • Power up electrical systems and configure hardware according to application specifications.
  • Oversee the quality of work performed by assemblers and technicians.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers to provide input for quote preparation.
  • Ensure quality during project implementation and respond to inquiries.
  • Demonstrate understanding of fundamental electrical principles.
  • Software Development:
  • Design and program PLC code based on specified requirements.
  • Understand internal customer needs for GUI/communication interfaces and develop specifications accordingly.
  • Review and modify legacy code as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot issues in existing systems.
  • Create user manuals to convey the functionality of developed programs.
  • Possess basic knowledge of PC networking and Boolean Logic.
  • Interpret PLC Ladder Logic.
  • General Expectations:
  • Comply with company safety protocols and uphold a culture of integrity and professionalism.
  • Provide timely and detailed updates on project status.
  • Maintain quality standards in a regulated, process-driven environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Controls/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automation sector.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design and drafting.
  • Experience with programming Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
  • Skilled in configuring and designing HMI/OIT systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot control system challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and positive attitude.
  • Creative problem solver with a focus on results and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous self-improvement.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with comprehensive design thinking.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL and CE.
  • Knowledge of Vision Systems and various Motion Controllers.
  • Experience with industrial robotic applications.
