Join the USPI Team as a dedicated Surgical Services Technologist. Our facility is equipped with 6 Operating Rooms and 1 Treatment Room, specializing in a variety of outpatient surgical procedures including General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Anesthesiology, ENT, Pediatric Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, and OB/GYN.

Work Schedule: This position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule that may adjust based on the surgical timetable and daily operations. Candidates should be prepared for early morning and late evening shifts as necessary.

Key Responsibilities: Under the direct guidance of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Services Technologist will:

  • Scrub for surgical operations and exhibit proficiency as a vital member of the surgical team.
  • Prepare and manage surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment essential for procedures.
  • Support the mission, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives.

Work Environment: This role is strictly weekdays, with no requirements for holidays, weekends, or on-call duties. Some evening shifts may be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized surgical technician program or a minimum of two years of relevant surgical technician experience.
  • CST certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory surgical setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application.
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to changes in patient conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with staff, patients, and physicians.
