USPI Platinum Surgery Center is in search of a dedicated Surgical Services Specialist to enhance our surgical team. Our facility is equipped with 6 Operating Rooms and 1 Treatment Room, focusing on outpatient surgical interventions across various specialties including General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Anesthesiology, ENT, Pediatric Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, and OB/GYN. The ideal candidate should be available Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule that may adjust according to the surgical calendar and daily operations. Early morning and late evening availability is essential.

Position Details: This role is strictly weekdays, with no requirements for holidays, weekends, or on-call duties. However, some late evening shifts may be necessary.

Job Overview: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Services Specialist will assist in surgical procedures, demonstrating proficiency as a vital member of the surgical team. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical operations. The candidate will support the mission, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or a minimum of two years of relevant surgical technician experience.
  • CST certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application.
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to changes in patient conditions as required.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and effective communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

USPI adheres to federal, state, and local regulations regarding workforce vaccination mandates. Candidates offered this position must provide proof of full vaccination or secure an exemption for religious or medical reasons prior to commencing employment. Those granted an exemption will be subject to regular testing as per legal requirements.
