Position Summary: The Universal Banker is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience by proactively offering solutions, building relationships, and assisting both consumer and small business clients in achieving their financial objectives. This role involves supporting both platform and frontline colleagues in driving sales, managing teller transactions, opening accounts, and resolving customer service inquiries. The Universal Banker will embody our Trusted Advisor strategy with all customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of all retail products and services.
  • Open accounts, process consumer loans, and facilitate home equity lines of credit while making referrals to business partners.
  • Accurately process customer transactions and perform account maintenance with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize effective selling techniques to identify customer needs and actively promote bank products and services.
  • Engage in proactive sales conversations through various interactions, including outbound calls and lobby engagement.
  • Educate customers on managing their financial transactions using available technology and resources.
  • Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and production goals.
  • Collaborate with management to support the teller team in delivering excellent service and achieving referral targets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Certification, License and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of banking experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance objectives.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Professional interaction with customers and team members.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and policies.

This position operates in a professional office environment. The role may require the employee to engage in various physical activities, including standing or sitting for extended periods, handling files, and occasionally lifting items up to 25 pounds.
