Location/Division Specific Information


The Manufacturing Engineer role is situated within the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) Business Unit, contributing to the Materials & Structural Analysis Division (MSD).

MSD combines extensive scientific knowledge, a collaborative environment, and rich resources to provide essential electronic failure analysis (EFA) equipment and systems that enable our clients to achieve their objectives efficiently and safely.

Impact of Your Role:


The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the design and production of electronic failure analysis equipment, focusing on existing electrical and mechanical components, subsystems, and product testing, while also leading various projects.

The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the implementation of manufacturing processes and drive improvements throughout the assembly cycle.


Key Responsibilities:


- Collaborate with fellow manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams to develop electrical and mechanical systems and identify opportunities for design optimization of radiation monitoring equipment.

- Engage with internal project teams, including quality, regulatory, R&D, operations, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.

- Participate in all aspects of automation installation, maintenance, and execution.

- Propose design enhancements based on current technical insights.

- Efficiently manage projects, coordinate contractors, and mentor technicians under the guidance of senior staff.

- Document project progress and track product development milestones.

- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and support all PPI, Keys, and Lean projects.

- Assist in facility management and maintenance.

- Develop and support manufacturing process plans in alignment with contract technical specifications.

- Supervise manufacturing performance and manage costs.

- Aid in technical documentation and procedures.

- Address any manufacturing challenges encountered.

- Investigate customer service issues and suggest design improvements.


Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:
- Proven experience in a technical manufacturing setting (minimum of 2 years).
- Experience in transitioning new products into production.
- Familiarity with maintaining automation equipment.
- Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Interest in collaborating across multiple fields to support product design and manufacturing, with proficiency in MRP and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of design processes and analysis techniques such as FEA, FMEA, Risk Analysis, and Tolerance Analysis.
- High level of self-discipline, motivation, and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00-$133,000.00.


This role may also qualify for a variable annual bonus based on individual, team, and company performance, in accordance with company policy.
