About the Role

As a Union HVAC Engineer with CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of commercial HVAC systems in assigned facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for occupants while minimizing downtime through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain HVAC Systems: Conduct regular inspections of air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation and perform scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
  • Diagnose and Repair Mechanical and Electrical Malfunctions: Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and repair or replace damaged equipment as needed.
  • Install and Replace Equipment: Install new heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, and repair or replace damaged or worn parts and equipment.
  • Monitor and Maintain Chilled and Hot Water Supply Systems: Ensure the efficient operation of chilled and hot water supply systems.
  • Adjust and Maintain Electrical and Electronic Control Systems: Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Assemble and Install Metal Ductwork: Assemble and install metal ductwork as required.
  • Maintain Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities as required by regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • CFC Certification: Possess current CFC certification.
  • 2-Year Associate's Degree: Hold a 2-year associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • Apprenticeship Program: Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Industrial Experience: Have experience working in an industrial environment and with industrial HVAC units.
  • Certifications: Hold certifications in two or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair, as well as CFC certification.
