Job Title: Grants Manager

Whitman-Walker Health is seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to join our team. As a Grants Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial side of federal, local, foundation, and contract-related grant management from application process to close-out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Single Audit requirements, internal policies, and procedures, cost principles, and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Support Grant Accountants in post-award accounting, compliance with funding source administrative guidelines, timely receipt of revenue, accurate submission of financial reports, Single Audit preparation, and orderly closure of projects.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly grant revenue, cash, receivable, and deferred revenue reports.
  • Prepare the Schedule of Federal Expenditures of Award (SEFA) for auditors and work with auditors to complete the Single Audit.
  • Assist with the development of indirect cost rate proposal submissions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 6 years of relevant grants accounting experience.
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience within an Accounting Department.
  • Experience working with a broadly diverse population and ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Non-profit experience.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience with Financial Edge and Blackbaud.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations related to sponsored programs at local, state, and federal levels.
