Willamette Family, Inc. is a reputable provider of substance use treatment and behavioral health services, dedicated to enhancing community well-being.

Our Child Development Center (CDC) operates within one of our residential substance abuse programs, providing accessible services to parents engaged in our programs. The CDC is licensed by the Child Care Division of the State of Oregon and stands out as the only facility of its kind in Lane County. Our inclusive classrooms foster a nurturing atmosphere tailored to meet the developmental needs of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, ensuring they thrive within their respective age groups.

Position Overview:

Early Childhood Support Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom activities utilizing developmentally appropriate methodologies.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of curriculum.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care.
  • Facilitate daily routines such as meals, toileting, and diapering.
  • Provide coverage for staff during breaks and planning periods.

Compensation: $18 per hour

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) that includes comprehensive insurance benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO) to obtain a Step number, with a minimum of Step 6.
  • Current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification and a valid Food Handler's Card.
  • Completion of a TB skin test at the time of hire.
  • Enrollment in DELC's Central Background Registry (CBR) at the time of hire, with renewal every five years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), or a related field.
  • One year of experience in a certified center (infant/toddler/preschool) classroom is preferred.

Employment Requirements:

  • Criminal background check conducted by the Department of Human Services Background Check Unit.
  • Pre-employment drug screening (including THC).
