About the Job

This is a permanent position in our dynamic manufacturing industry, where you will play a critical role in the development, planning, and implementation of complex manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the manufacturing process and equipment.
  • Use process simulation software and statistical analysis tools to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that manufacturing processes align with the organization's business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including SQF.
  • Implement strategies for waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Utilize ERP software, specifically Epicor, for process management and data analysis.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the safety and efficiency of manufacturing operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics film production.
  • In-depth knowledge of film manufacturing, flexographic printing, and bag making/converting processes.
  • Proficiency in using process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with SQF and ERP software, specifically Epicor.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
