We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Specialist to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. in Washington, DC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and performing inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and start-up of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and lead multiple projects, both onsite and in-house, utilizing various company software systems.
- Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, instrument and power transformers, switchgear, breakers, electro-mechanical and solid-state relays, and other electrical apparatus.
- Contain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing appropriate control measures.
- Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
- Promote an attitude of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems.
- Using trade drawings to identify potential design and installation problems.
- Knowledge of industry standards, including sections of NETA ATS/MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.
- Certifications: NETA level III, or IV preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 2-4 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
