Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care Duties: Focus on superior patient care by practicing evidence-based, high-quality psychiatric medicine; encourage increased patient understanding, involvement in care, and treatment decisions; achieve and maintain optimal patient access to care; support system efforts towards care improvements, standardization of care, implementation of care guidelines and clinical outcomes research
  • Patient Load: Typical patient load for full-time psychiatrists includes an average of 18-24 patients per week, caseload increases when working with a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Documentation: Completes required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner; prepares and maintains complete and accurate charts, case files, and records
  • Collaboration: Collaborate on care delivery by including staff, other physicians, and management in both service and patient care improvements; treating all teammates with respect; demonstrating the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct; and behaving in a manner consistent with company mission and values

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required; Graduation from an accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Program and fellowships for specialists or equivalent training Required
  • Certifications: Physician Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry Required; Licensure to practice medicine in the state(s) seeing patients Required; BLS/CPR certifications, Licensures, and Registrations Required
