Job Title: Grants Development Specialist

At Georgia Ports Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled Grants Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals and reports that align with our organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and submission of grant proposals and reports to government agencies and other funding sources.
  • Conduct research to identify new grant funding opportunities and programs that align with our organization's goals.
  • Maintain relationships with funding agencies and other strategic partners.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal service areas on grant-related matters.
  • Collaborate with grant writing consulting firms to draft grant application narratives, budgets, and finalize the application.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of grant administration, accounting, and project management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong analytical and persuasive writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience researching, writing, and working with grants.
