Job Title: Grants Development Specialist

At Georgia Ports Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled Grants Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals to government agencies and other funding sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and identify new grant funding opportunities to support GPA's goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals to government agencies and other funding sources.
  • Maintain relationships with funding agencies and other strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with GPA staff to develop and implement grant-related policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to GPA staff on grant-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Principles and practices of grant program funding and implementation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Knowledge of grant administration, accounting, and project management.
  • Strong analytical and persuasive writing skills, including the ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience researching, writing, and working with grants.

Working Conditions:

The Grants Development Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve GPA's goals and objectives.
