Key Responsibilities:- Enforce laws and regulations to ensure public safety and order
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing assistance and support to citizens
- Identify and apprehend criminal offenders, reducing the opportunity for crime
- Aid individuals in danger, facilitating the movement of traffic and pedestrians
- Identify and address potential law enforcement and governmental problems
- Promote and preserve peace in the community
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Current certification by the NH Police Standards and Training Council (for full or part-time police officers)
- Meet all qualifying standards set forth by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council
- Pass a complete background check, including a background history, criminal and driving record, physical exam, polygraph, and psychological exam
