Job Description:
The Privacy Compliance Leader will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive privacy regulatory program for Fidelity. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international regulations governing the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of client, customer, and prospect personal information.
The Team
The Privacy Compliance Leader will lead and coordinate the delivery and execution of a comprehensive privacy regulatory program, including Gramm-Leach-Bliley/Reg S-P, HIPAA, US state privacy laws, and GDPR. The team will be responsible for:
- Developing and overseeing firm-wide programs to ensure compliance with federal and state and international regulations.
- Leading cross-firm teams to implement new privacy regulations and supporting business initiatives with a focus on identifying and incorporating applicable privacy requirements.
- Overseeing privacy-related incident responses, including timely escalation of issues.
- Developing training and communications for associates to drive a culture of privacy compliance.
- Liaising with critical collaborators including Compliance, Risk, Cyber and Global Security partners, senior business leaders, internal auditors, and regulators.
The Expertise You Have
The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep securities industry knowledge including comprehensive understanding of privacy regulations.
- 10+ years of privacy or related compliance, legal, or risk experience or comparable experience.
- Bachelor s degree with law or other advanced degree a plus.
- Experience in interacting with regulators, including the SEC, FINRA, and state agencies.
- Strong knowledge or experience regarding privacy related technology including managing technology efforts to support rule implementations and to delivery privacy services.
