Job Title: Optician Team Lead

HealthNet Inc is seeking a highly skilled Optician Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our vision center, you will be responsible for managing inventory, measuring and fitting contact lenses and eyeglass frames, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory of optical products and maintain office equipment and supplies
  • Measure and fit contact lenses and eyeglass frames based on prescriptions
  • Assist customers in selecting frames based on their prescription, lifestyle needs, and style preferences
  • Inspect lenses for quality, fit, and adjust eyewear as needed
  • Process orders for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products
  • Collect measurements to ensure proper fit of glasses
  • Use computer to input information and create lab orders
  • Dispense glasses by inspecting the product, checking for proper fit, adjusting if necessary, and asking for feedback
  • Adjust eyewear to ensure proper fit and patient comfort, and perform basic repairs
  • Educate patients on the care and maintenance of lenses
  • Perform minor repairs on broken or damaged glasses
  • Apply a minimum of one health literacy method when communicating with patients/clients
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5-7 years of previous optical experience required
  • Some experience leading a team is preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivation, and ability to work under pressure
  • Requires knowledge of policies and procedures for area
