We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fleet Service Writer to join our team at the City of Atlanta. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and liaise between customers and service technicians to resolve automotive issues.
  • Enter detailed repair malfunctions into the service center computer system and prepare instructions for service technicians.
  • Act as the service receptionist, handling customer inquiries and providing estimates for repairs.
  • Schedule servicing or repairs and discuss customer requirements.
  • Provide customers with estimated costs and repair times, and notify them of any additional or extended repairs.
  • Check vehicle warranties and extended warranties for cost recovery.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of modern vehicle and equipment practices.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-tempo office environment to assist and solve customer needs.
