Job Title: Senior Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare and Communications Systems (EWCS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating EWCS systems, as well as leading the development of system requirements, architecture, and design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers to define system capabilities and functionality for future EWCS systems
  • Participate in business development activities, including the development of marketing briefings, white papers, and proposals
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, management, and team members
  • Lead the development of EWCS systems, including the definition of system requirements, architecture, and design
  • Develop EWCS system simulations, models, and algorithms, and perform data analysis
  • Coordinate the integration of multiple EWCS systems and subsystems to ensure seamless operation and performance
  • Support the transition of EWCS solutions from the digital, simulation space into physical HW/SW/FW implementations
  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including system requirements, architectural views, and test plans
  • Conduct trade studies and risk assessments to determine the most feasible and innovative solutions to meet customer missions and requirements
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in the field of Electronic Warfare and Communication Systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and test engineers, to ensure successful deliveries of systems
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
  • Plan, develop, and execute training to increase EWCS talent depth in the engineering team
  • Support functional leadership in the Systems Engineering team by being a visible and accessible technical leader in the group
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar field and 15+ years of related experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar field and 10+ years of related experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience/expertise in the design, development, implementation, and integration of EWCS systems, starting from customer requirements and CONOPS
  • Experience/expertise in RF engineering, signal processing, and digital communication systems
  • Experience/expertise with system analysis in programming languages such as MATLAB and Python
  • Experience/expertise in traditional Systems Engineering processes, including requirements analysis, architecture development, trade studies, and risk management
  • Experience/expertise in current and emerging Electronic Warfare technologies, systems, and techniques (including Electronic Support (ES), Electronic Protection (EP), Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), and Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM))
  • Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning with a focus on integration of new and evolving technologies, capabilities, and innovations
  • Experience/expertise with team leadership and mentoring
