Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Duke Primary Care - Triangle Family Practice. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and special nursing care techniques as prescribed by physicians
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Assist other healthcare personnel in the delivery of patient care
- Participate in the development and implementation of general policies and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety
- Knowledge of scope of licensed practical nurse and ability to delegate to nursing support staff
- Considerable knowledge of patient care and special procedures applicable to practical nursing
- Able to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members
- Competent in BLS and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area or organization
