Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this role is $54,240.00 (based on 40 hours/week, $26.00/hour) and includes a retention bonus opportunity.
This compensation package may vary based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
Job DescriptionAs a Class B Freight Delivery Specialist with US Foods, Inc., your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating a truck to customers and meeting scheduled delivery times
- Carefully unloading products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand
- Verifying delivery accuracy with customers and obtaining signatures as needed
- Handling collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Providing exceptional customer service to enhance our client experience
You will also perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and ready for operation.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid CDL Class B issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- A minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
