We are seeking an Environmental Scientist/Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Pensacola, Florida. This role will be responsible for designing, performing, installing, and overseeing environmental remediation projects, ensuring that all plans are accurately followed and adhered to Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills to work with colleagues and clients, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients. This role will report to the Regional Manager and is accountable to the Senior Staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management
  • Provide high-level consulting services to clients
  • Design and perform site remediation in adherence to federal and state regulations
  • Write and prepare reports and presentations, including tables, charts, and graphs
  • Provide technical direction and oversight as well as mentoring and training to junior-level staff

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field required
  • Progressive experience with increased responsibility in Contamination Site Restoration required
  • Advanced skills in project management are required
  • Experienced in Petroleum Restoration Program highly desired
  • Completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, Engineer in Training (EIT) exam, or Principles and Practice of Engineering exam desired
  • Registered Professional Engineer Preferred
  • OSHA HAZWOPR 40-hour (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
  • A valid Driver's License required

Physical Demands

The position operates in both a professional office setting and outdoor settings relating to engineering fieldwork. Staff should be equally comfortable in both environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear walk, stoop, and lift. The employee may spend extended periods sitting in front of a computer or laptop. The employee is required to have finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
