Position Overview

KCI Technologies is actively seeking a dedicated Water Resources Project Manager to spearhead design teams and bolster our expanding practice. Core Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and designers in the creation of engineering designs and project execution for a variety of water resources projects, including stormwater management, erosion control, flood mitigation, and hydrologic studies.
  • Oversee project management, including the development of technical scopes, budget management, and ensuring compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Manage the complete project lifecycle, from initial assessments and conceptual planning to stakeholder coordination and final design documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports and collaborate with support staff on project administration, billing, and closure.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects while working effectively with a diverse team to achieve project goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff to enhance their technical skills and career progression.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Leader to develop technical proposals and maintain client relationships.
  • Build and sustain positive client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field is essential.
  • Experience in project management and business development within the last 2-4 years is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, MicroStation/AutoCAD, and InRoads/OpenRoads is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex engineering concepts to varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Information

  • A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Professional certifications are a plus.
  • Pre-employment drug screening may be required.
