Purdue Pharma Medical Science Liaison Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Purdue Pharma, a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of medications. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a crucial role in identifying, developing, and managing relationships with healthcare professionals in the academic, institutional, managed care, and community practice setting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Respond to product inquiries from customers, schedule appointments, and meet with key contacts to foster peer-to-peer relationships.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain customer/HCP/Subject Matter Experts relationships across customer segments, including clinical, hospital/institutional, academic, and community settings, as well as professional medical associations (as needed) and market access (as needed).
  • Subject Matter Expert Identification: Identify new Subject Matter Experts or equivalent for customer engagement within each therapeutic area.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a field medical role within the pharma/healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience in a field MSL role with experience in customer management and HCP engagement.
  • Clinical degree strongly preferred (PharmD, RN/NP, PA, RPh).
Necessary Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of US healthcare systems and regulatory and commercial compliance issues relating to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required to effectively carry out the responsibilities of this position.
  • Strong analytical comprehension of complex clinical data along with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
What We Offer

This is a remote-based role combined with required travel for business purposes. Up to 75% travel required; must be willing to travel domestically and possess a valid driver's license. The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
