Certified Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics, PSC. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to athletes and patients in the Louisville community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients on the field and design/implement a plan of care based on patient functioning, diagnosis, treatment, self-management, and access to healthcare resources.
  • Deliver physical care to patients, including monitoring of patient response and results during care.
  • Provide education to patients and family members, sports groups, and healthcare professionals regarding health maintenance, normal body functions, injury prevention, strength, and conditioning.
  • Communicate effectively with team physicians, coaches, parents, and school administrators to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other duties as assigned to ensure the success of E&B.
Requirements:
  • NATA Board Certification
  • License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure - Athletic Trainer
  • CPR for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association or equivalent
  • Maintain 50 CEU credits per 2-year period
  • High school graduation or GED
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
