Certified Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics, PSC. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and athletes.
Job Summary:The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for evaluating patients on and off the field, designing and implementing specific therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of injured athletes, and providing education to patients and family members on health maintenance, injury prevention, and strength and conditioning.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients on the field and design/implement a plan of care based on patient functioning, diagnosis, treatment, self-management, and access to healthcare resources.
- Deliver physical care to patients, including monitoring of patient response and results during care.
- Instruct patients and/or family members in treatment, activities, and home care.
- Provide education to patients and family members, sports groups regarding health maintenance, normal body functions, injury prevention, strength, and conditioning.
- Provide first aid whenever needed.
- Assist with the fitting of braces both off the shelf and custom-made.
- Communicate with team physician/PA and work with school administration to establish safe sports medicine protocols and practices as needed.
- Assist with wound care/dressing changes.
- Other duties as assigned or necessary to ensure the success of E&B.
- NATA Board Certification
- License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure– Athletic Trainer
- CPR for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association or equivalent
- Maintain 50 CEU credits per 2-year period
- High school graduation or GED
- Must work well with people
- Effective communication skills
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Willingness to support and encourage co-workers
- Willingness to learn Sportsware (EMR) & Medbridge health systems.
