We prioritize the health and safety of our residents and staff at Pioneer Trace. Our Certified Medication Aide plays a vital role in ensuring each resident receives the highest quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including oral, eye, ear, nasal, topical, and suppository medications.
  • Prepare and administer PRN medications with approval from the Charge Nurse.
  • Count controlled drugs at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Document medication administration and maintain accurate records.
  • Reorder unit dose medications according to facility policy.
  • Apply ice bags and hot water bottles as directed by the Charge Nurse.
  • Perform duties as outlined in the State Registered Nursing Assistant job description.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable resident environment, eliminating potential safety hazards.
  • Respect resident privacy and dignity.
  • Monitor resident condition changes and notify the Charge Nurse.
  • Follow established safety and infection control procedures.
  • Participate in required inservice training.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to the dress code.
  • Report resident complaints and grievances to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to and promote the Code of Conduct.
