Deaf and Hard of Hearing Educator

TX-STAR Speech Language Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide high-quality instructional support to students with auditory impairments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans to ensure students with hearing loss receive a quality educational program.
- Collaborate with campus teachers to provide necessary accommodations and ensure AI students participate in classroom activities.
- Utilize knowledge of sign language and adaptive devices to support students' communication needs.
- Participate in the ARD process to ensure students receive appropriate services.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university.
- Experience working with students with hearing loss, preferably in educational settings.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate as a teacher of the deaf/hard-of-hearing or teacher of students with auditory impairments.
- Knowledge of various types of hearing loss and communication needs.
- Ability to work cooperatively with campus staff to ensure AI students receive necessary support.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
