About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to join our team in the field of solid waste management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions for waste to energy initiatives, including transfer stations, recycling centers, and materials recovery facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead engineering projects from feasibility studies to construction and startup, including preparation of drawings, plans, specifications, reports, and certifications.
  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, calculations, and facility operational/environmental data to inform engineering decisions.
  • Prepare construction cost estimations and design reports, and stamp/certify designs as required.
  • Oversee construction projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
  • Support business development initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors.
  • Maintain quality control on projects and administrative tasks, and manage multiple smaller company priorities and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or a related environmental field, with a focus on civil, structural, or mechanical engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license and at least 8 years of experience in solid waste management, waste to energy markets, and facility development.
  • Project management experience, including budgets, schedules, and invoicing.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer usage for document preparation, including MS Word and Excel, and engineering software related to your field.
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD, C3D, or Revit.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and developing leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and regularly with project managers and teams.
