Job Summary

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Child Care Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Early Care and Education Projects (ECEP) team, you will play a vital role in supporting family child care providers in Southwestern Arkansas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and support to family child care providers in Southwestern Arkansas.
  • Collaborate with ECEP team members to develop and implement projects and initiatives that promote high-quality early childhood education.
  • Conduct home visits and provide coaching and mentoring to family child care providers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the ECEP mission.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform program decisions and improve outcomes for family child care providers and children.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
  • At least three years of experience providing direct services to children and families within the child care community.
  • Experience with technology and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education and specifically Family Child Care Minimum Licensing Regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
  • At least three years of experience with the state quality rating and improvement systems and state licensing regulations regarding family child care homes.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting early childhood educators.
