About the Role

Blue Origin is a pioneering space company that envisions millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As a Sustaining Lunar Development Program Planning and Controls Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of space exploration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the creation of integrated schedule and cost baselines in Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra, which will be used to execute and measure our projects.
  • Establishing these plans will involve supporting the development of Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Master Schedules, and the formation of detailed IPT-level schedules.
  • Drive execution to these plans by coordinating status updates, collecting and inputting schedule performance, performing regular schedule forecast updates, and providing actionable schedule reporting.
  • Use schedule performance data to generate actionable metrics, key performance indicators, and schedule reporting artifacts to inform IPT leaders and influence future schedule updates.
  • Proactively drive results, going beyond input collection and reporting, and implement effective change management to account for approved scope changes.
Requirements
  • Experience and comfort with working in ambiguous environments and situations.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management, or other highly analytical field.
  • 5+ years' experience in program scheduling (aerospace industry and/or R&D programs preferred).
  • Broad/deep scheduling and planning skillset - proficiency with resource-loaded schedules using Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or other software.
  • Control account management including schedule baselining, reforecasting, variance analysis, and schedule-change management.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain a fully networked and resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule from scratch.
  • Demonstrated experience proactively driving results, going beyond input collection and reporting.
  • Skilled in developing schedule reports and analysis of KPIs.
  • Demonstrated exposure to project cost management: must be willing to learn and execute cost management support to assigned IPTs.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • P6, Deltek, COBRA, Empower, or other cost/schedule integration and analysis tool experience.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial project reporting.
  • Experience establishing new research and development programs.
  • Following a monthly/quarterly rhythm of EAC and ETC development and reporting.
  • Proven record of hands-on development and implementation of process improvements.
  • IPMR customer deliverables on EVM-required contracts.
  • Successful support of programs through DCMA/DCAA, joint site surveillance, or other government audits.
  • MBA, or Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager).
Benefits

Blue Origin offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
