Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with communication and swallowing disorders to determine the underlying cause and develop a treatment plan.
  • Conduct speech and language therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Connecticut.
  • One to two years of experience as a clinical Speech Language Pathologist in a large medical center-based practice preferred.
  • Experience working with children and/or adults depending on the assigned setting.
  • Clinical experience with a variety of diagnoses, including post-surgical, developmental, neurological, genetic, oncologic, and traumatic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FEES, MBS, and TEP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills.
