About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists
  • Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients
  • Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients' progress and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time
  • Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services
  • Notify Physical Therapists or Executive Directors of equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes, and other departmental issues
  • Schedule clients and perform varied office tasks
  • Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities
  • Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence to care for patients
  • Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and/or other third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance as necessary
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association
  • Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Proof of current CPR certification
  • Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population
  • Self-directed, enthusiastic, and accepts constructive feedback
  • Good verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others
  • Maintains clinical competency in Physical Therapy practice and theory
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Maintains current licensure certifications and meets mandatory continuing education requirements
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Good and regular attendance
