Key Responsibilities

  • Working under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavioral Support Technician is tasked with the direct implementation of individualized and group behavior-analytic programs tailored for children with behavioral challenges.
  • Assisting the BCBA in training other staff members or trainees on the effective application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing functional skills while minimizing disruptive behaviors that hinder learning.
  • Maintaining accurate records of program parameters and targeted behaviors to facilitate program evaluations and track progress.
  • Engaging in activity preparation, providing direct care and instruction to individuals or groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and teaching methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting session outcomes.
  • Supporting the BCBA with training initiatives, conducting behavioral assessments, and recording client progress.
  • Ensuring adherence to national, state, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting or moving objects weighing up to approximately 50 lbs and maintaining various postures (e.g., kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, walking) for extended durations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, behavioral science, or a related discipline, along with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess reliable transportation, and successfully pass a background check.
