ICU Veterinary Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Veterinary Technician to join our team at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Nashville, TN. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to hospitalized patients, working closely with our team of experienced technicians, assistants, ER doctors, and specialists to deliver remarkable care for pets.

Responsibilities:
  • Triage and obtain patient history
  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
  • Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
  • Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
  • Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to patients
  • Mentor and train other coworkers
  • Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
