We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Team at Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medicine. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in emergency medicine
  • LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Central line placement
  • Abdominocentesis
  • Thoracocentesis
  • Feeding tube placement
  • Urinary catheter placement

The employee is often required to lift and carry animals weighing fifty pounds or more; handle dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.
